GENESIS

My full name is Rafał Robert Kelm. I live in Warsaw, Poland. From an early age I enjoyed math and computers. I had also quite good artistic skills which distinguished me from most of my classmates.

After I passed through a top math / physics profiled high school I started to study law. Despite the nature of studied subject matter I was always searching for analytical, intellectual challenges. Thus, after finishing a Polish and US law studies I have started to work as a tax lawyer. This legal profession allowed me a broader contact with analytical thinking and strong interaction with numbers included in financial data.

MOTIVATION

Regardless of the chosen profession, I still lacked to some extent that pure intellectual flow, with a certain amount of creative elements.

That is why after several years of commercial experience as a licensed tax advisor in so called “Big 4” companies I have focused on an intensive development as a programmer. I recognized that coding is much more consistent with my personality and talents than anything else.

Moreover I have found programming opening me up to new opportunities. I believe that coding is the future. I am excited that new technologies enter to every little area of our life. I wish to take part in this.

This is why I am highly motivated to pursue my career further as a Front-End / Full-Stack developer and tie my passions, strengths and aims with my daily work.

In free time, I am an admirer of sports, pop-sci literature and podcasts. Last but not least, during summer I enjoy sailing in Croatia.
